VMGA’s committees accomplish the work of the association, achieving our education and charitable purposes and conducting necessary business. More information about the committees is found in the Bylaws and Standing Rules.

Communications – Chair Frank Reilly
The Communications Committee fosters communication between individuals and local groups of Master Gardeners through the web site (Webmaster is Dave Banks, webmaster@vmga.net), the newsletter (Editor is Peggy Fox newsletter@vmga.net) and facilitating electronic messaging to the membership (Contact Frank Reilly Communications@vmga.net for more information.
Finance – Chair - Pat Reilly
The Finance Committee assists the Treasurer in proposing a budget to the Board, and monitors investments for growth opportunities.
Audit – Chair - Ruth Huber
The Audit Committee is appointed in the spring of each year. The committee is responsible for auditing the Treasurer’s records and reporting their findings at the Annual Meeting in June.
Nominations and Elections – Chair appointed in odd-numbered years: contact VMGA President
Every other year, the Nominations and Elections Committee identifies a slate of candidates for officer positions, manages the voting process and reports the results in a timely manner.
