Feral Hogs News!

Colleagues:

 

I just wanted to share with you some recent perspectives on the growing dilemma we all face as populations of feral hogs continue their spread northward, either on their own or, more likely, with the assistance of ill-informed humans.  This is likely to become one of the more serious wildlife conflicts we will face, making deer and coyote problems seem small in comparison.  Unfortunately, some recent “reality” shows on television have been giving the public a very poor image of both the conflict and the available resolutions, in essence, making a rather big joke of the whole thing.  This will make all of our jobs all the more difficult as a result.
