Call to Order –

President Betty Villers called the meeting to order at 5:07 pm

           

Introductions;

 

Introductions were waived to shorten the meeting.

 

Minutes:

The minutes of the April Bi-monthly meeting were approved as posted on line with one correction.

 

Treasurer’s Report – Bill Scott

Bill presented copies of the Treasurer's report which include final expenses for the education events, income from dues payments and income from sales of merchandise for fundraising.  The Treasurer's report was accepted as read and has been audited as part of the annual review by the Audit Committee. 

The report is attached at the end of this document

The audit committee performed the annual audit and Chairman Deb Straw reported the Treasurer’s reports were in order. The books were well organized and details were well documented.

 

Presidents Report: Betty Villers

Our fund raising item- Botanical Interest Seed Company has been added to the VMGA web site. VMGA will receive 20% of sales which will go to the MG Coordinator Endowment Fund. Betty was given packets of seeds to give out at MG College and a few catalogs

 

Betty had a great 2 years as President and thanks everyone who has helped her with the success of the organization.

 

Committee Reports:

Committee reports were deferred to the annual meeting with power point presentations.

 

Silent AuctionLeslie Paulson Chair,

We need a volunteer to sell tickets for the water fountain raffle. Kathryn Debnar volunteered; tickets are $1.00 and 6/$5.00.

 

 

New Business: the next VMGA Bi-Monthly Meeting will be in Newport News at the Extension Office –information is available
