Committee Reports:

Betty – most of the committee reports will be given by each committee chair through a power point presentation at the Annual Meeting on July 20th.

A motion was made to defer all reports to the annual meeting.

The Motion was seconded and passed.

Unfinished Business:

Barbara Geer – Education Committee- The education committee has a program scheduled in Charlottesville in conjunction with Master Naturalist on Oct 13th. The committee has another opportunity for an event in the Isle of Wight area on Oct 31st. The committee wanted to get approval to confirm the event. Each event would have a different set of topics and presenters. After much discussion on issues of having three VMGA /MG events in the same month – a motion was made to schedule the event on Oct. 31st as this would appeal to a different area and members. The motion passed.

New Business:

A suggestion from Mary Anne Kincaid to announce during the first day of announcements that it would be nice if the VMGA President was scheduled to welcome everyone to MG College and explain VMGA and our part in MG College.
