WHAT IS VAMWON?

We are a dedicated group of volunteers and Virginia Cooperative Extension agents who work to educate private water users across the state. We are looking for outgoing folks who would like to help people better understand, protect, and manage their private water supplies.

 

BENEFITS OF BECOMING A VAMWON VOLUNTEER:

· Learn how to better manage your family’s water quality and water system.

· Help others learn how to protect their water quality

· Free resource binder

· Free water conservation devices for your home and garden

 

WHAT IT TAKES:

· Visit our Private Water Supply Protection website (http://www.wellwater.bse.vt.edu/become_a_mwo.php) or call 540-231-9058 for a paper application.

· Review volunteer guidelines and fill out an online application

· Attend a training workshop – additional workshops will be held across Virginia
